We are getting close to the Detroit Auto Show, which is when the new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid debuts to the American public. Fortunately, the car already had its worldwide premiere in Seoul, South Korea, which means we know some of the exciting details of the new model.
Digital Trends reports that the Hyundai Sonata is “so important to the Korean automaker that it has spent 27 months of research and fine-tuning to get the hybrid version exactly right.” That means that this model will have a cooler new look, an upgraded powertrain that increases fuel efficiency, and more cabin space than the 2015 Sonata hybrid, its predecessor.
Other exciting news: detailed information on a plug-in version of the Sonata hybrid will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show too.
