Hyundai recently celebrated with the best and the brightest in the industry for the first National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day. Recognizing the importance of alternative energy designs, as well as the genius that goes into making them, Hyundai helped raise some awareness about the issue.
Hyundai is responsible for one of the first mass-produced Fuel Cell Vehicles on the road, called the Tucson FCV. This model is powered by liquid hydrogen, according to Hyundai, which makes it safe for both you and the environment. This model is a quick-filling, emissions-free, and fuel-efficient car.
“Hyundai is committed to hydrogen fuel cell leadership with the continued refinement of this technology in our vehicles,” said Michael O’Brien, vice president, Corporate and Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Hydrogen fuel cell technology has tremendous potential to meet diverse consumer demands for impressive range, rapid refueling speed and scalability to a variety of vehicle types and sizes.”
So far, Hyundai has sold about 80 of the Tucson vehicles, but thanks the National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, it’s raised some awareness. We can’t wait to see some of these innovative designs on the streets new SouthTowne Hyundai.
