2015 Hyundai Genesis is “Jaw Dropping”

2015 Hyundai Genesis review

Cars.com, one of the biggest and most trusted automotive classified sites, recently published a video review of the redesigned 2015 Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan. Back in 2009, the very first Genesis won Cars.com’s first best-of award, earning the title of Best Car of 2009. So, are they still fans? You bet!

In the video, car critic Joe Wiesenfelder praises the 2015 model’s new exterior, which is highlighted by a dominant new grille. Inside, he praised the “rich looking” interior (which includes standard leather seating), called the multimedia features (which include an 8-inch infotainment screen) “a high point,” and marveled at what a quiet ride the Genesis delivers, which makes for “a very low-fatigue experience, even on a long drive.”

Compared to pricey competitors, “there’s a lot more value here, as you would expect from Hyundai.” Praise is also given to the Genesis’s great safety features, which earned it a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which is their highest rating.

“No doubt, it will cause some dropped jaws,” Wiesenfelder says of the redesigned 2015 Hyundai Genesis. If you’re still skeptical that Hyundai can provide great luxury at a low price, stop by South Towne Hyundai and see if we can make your jaw drop.

Hyundai Preparing to Enter Compact SUV Segment

Hyundai compact SUV

After Hyundai successfully released its hatchback Elite i20 in India recently, it is looking to expand into the compact SUV market segment this year.

Hyundai has had great success in India recently. In the first half of this year, Hyundai controlled a market share of 21.6 percent. While that is an impressive figure, Hyundai is now looking into segments where they are not currently present.

Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hyundai Motor India Ltd said, “The compact SUV and MPV segments are growing in India and these are of interest to us.”

As a result of this desire to branch out, it is expected that the Hyundai compact SUV will be released within the next year.

Srivastava also said Hyundai India is “well poised to maximize opportunities in the season.”

As Hyundai grows internationally, we at SouthTowne Hyundai are excited to see where the company goes in the future.

2014 Hyundai Veloster & Santa Fe Offer the Best CPO Value in America

Best CPO Value in America

Thinking a certified pre-owned vehicle is the best way to go? Hyundai’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program offers customers a host of benefits and some of the best pre-owned vehicles on the road. According to Vincentric, the Hyundai Veloster and Santa Fe hold the awards for 2014 Best CPO Value in America for their respective segments.

The award-winning vehicles in each category are determined by their lower-than-expected ownership costs, which include depreciation, fees and taxes, maintenance and repairs.

The Hyundai Veloster won the Best CPO Value award for the subcompact coupe segment, while the Santa Fe was named America’s Best CPO Value in the competitive mid-size crossover class.

Hyundai’s CPO program gives customers an added level of comfort, satisfaction and peace of mind in their vehicle purchase,” said Steve Flood, Hyundai Motor America’s director of Sales Planning and Retail Operations.

“By selecting a Hyundai CPO vehicle, consumers receive $2,066* of added value over a comparable non-certified used Hyundai. Veloster and Santa Fe are both excellent vehicles offering stylish design and functionality for different lifestyles, and as these awards show, great value.”

Stop by SouthTowne Hyundai today and take a look at our selection of CPO vehicles. We may have just the Hyundai for you.

* “$2,066 represents the national value of benefits included in the purchase of a Hyundai CPO vehicle as compared to a non-certified used Hyundai. Since $2,066 represents an average for all Hyundai CPO vehicles sold nationally, individual value received may vary.”

Funky Hyundai CUV in the Works for 2017

Let’s say you want to buy a funky, subcompact crossover. The first option is to turn to the Nissan Juke. But let’s also say that, for whatever reason—maybe you dislike their association with Bret Michaels—you don’t want to buy one from Nissan. What’s your second option?

Unfortunately, there isn’t one—until 2017, that is, when Hyundai releases its own, competing vehicle to rival the Juke. It’ll be a subcompact, it’ll be a crossover, and you can bet it will have the kind of unconventional look that Hyundai has already proven it can pull off with the Veloster.

As Hyundai’s CEO Dave Zuchowski put it, it’ll be “a vehicle that would be really designed for Gen Y, for new-first time younger buyers. Think of maybe something that looks like a Juke or something that has edgy, dynamic styling.”

For now though, the plans are far off into the future. We can expect the new Hyundai CUV to arrive to the SouthTowne Hyundai dealership in 2017, but no earlier than that unless something changes.
