Road Trips with Dogs

Road trips can be fun, especially when you bring Fido. But sometimes, that can complicate things a bit. Here are some tips for road trips with dogs so you won’t have to stress.

Plan, Plan, Plan

When your pup is with you, you’ll want everything planned out. Make sure that you pick out places on your route where you can stop for fifteen to thirty minutes every four hours. This will give your pup a bathroom break and let them get out some exercise.

Crate Your Dog

When your dog is spending a long time in the car, it’s best and safest to keep them in a crate. It’s the safest way for a dog to travel in the car. And sometimes, your dog will feel safer when confined in a small, familiar space.

Pack the Essentials

Make sure you have enough gear for your dog, like food and a food bowl, water bowl, any medications they use, a blanket, treats, poop bags, a brush, and anything else they might need. If it’s sunny where you’re going, considering bringing dog-safe sunscreen!

And mostly, just have plenty of fun with your pup!

Pure Electric Genesis On Its Way

Hyundai knows innovation and they’re taking it on in full. The next Hyundai Genesis you see might have a slight difference from its predecessors. Hyundai is introducing the Electric Genesis.

Manfred Fitzgerald, Hyundai’s chief executive, announced the news, “We will definitely go as Genesis brand down the road of alternative propulsions and it is very, very obvious that EV is definitely on the map.”

Hyundai chose its luxury model, Genesis, for the electric upgrade because of the rising popularity of electric luxury vehicles.

There’s not yet an exact timeline on when this all-electric Genesis will be released, but it should be out by 2020. It’ll have a 250-mile pure electric range.

And it’s not the only update that Genesis is getting. The 2017 Genesis G80 will have a diesel version in addition to its gas model.

When the Genesis EV premieres, it’ll be joining a handful of other Hyundai electric models. The Hyundai Ioniq currently has a standard hybrid model as well as a plug-in. And it, too, has future EV models on the way.

So it might be a little bit of a wait, but it’ll be worth it once the electric Genesis is revealed!
