Direct Lending Versus Dealership Lending

What’s the difference between direct lending versus dealership lending? Direct and dealership lending are the two primary financing options for drivers in the market for a new car. Both have their advantages and each will benefit a different type of buyer depending on their financial situation. Check out this short comparison of direct lending versus dealership lending from us at SouthTowne Hyundai!

Benefits of Direct Lending

By getting a loan from a bank, the customer is taking part in direct lending.

One of the primary benefits of direct lending is the ability to compare loan offers and terms from competing financial institutions. By doing so, buyers can know the terms before purchasing a vehicle. Knowing the terms of the loan in advance is a benefit in itself.

Benefits of Dealership Lending

Those getting financing directly from the dealership are taking part in dealership lending. The primary difference between the two is that the dealership can sell the contract to a financial institution after signing.

Fortunately, dealership lending comes with multiple benefits as well. An in-house finance department and working relationship with surrounding financial institutions mean both the convenience of a timely response and only having to fill out a single loan application. Some automotive manufacturers offer special incentive programs through dealerships, further increasing the savings customers experience.

New Hyundai Kona Teasers Released

The Hyundai Kona prototype has already been spotted in real-world testing, but now the Korean automaker has released the second official teaser. The latest darkened photo offers a more in-depth look at some of the styling cues. While there’s no word on the powertrain just yet, the new model surely won’t disappoint.

Lights

The latest teaser image plays up the Kona’s twin LED daytime running lights above-LED headlights. The upcoming subcompact crossover sticks the styling language found in the 2018 Hyundai Sonata and Elantra GT. The cascading grille design is certainly similar.

Size

The camouflaged prototype spotted earlier made it clear the subcompact crossover would be small. Judging by size, the new Hyundai Kona will likely compete with the likes of the Chevrolet Trax, Mazda CX-3, and Nissan Juke.

Interior

The interior is similar to that of the Elantra GT. A free-standing touchscreen sits in the middle of the dashboard and controls are positioned well throughout the cockpit, just as one would expect from Hyundai.

The new Kona subcompact crossover will make its way to the United States in early 2018. First, it will launch in Korea this summer. The subcompact crossover will also be one of the 30 new or refreshed models Hyundai launches in Europe between now and 2021.

We at SouthTowne Hyundai in Riverdale, GA can’t wait for the arrival of the new Hyundai Kona!

Though the summer months are slowly fading away, they seem to be leaving the heat behind. The possibility of heat exhaustion is as strong as ever, and yes, you can get heat exhaustion while driving.

The major form of heat exhaustion that most people tend to think about is related to water depletion, but you can also get heat exhaustion from salt depletion. This is why it is important to keep a sports drink on hand.

Some of the heat exhaustion symptoms include: cool, damp skin; excess sweating; dizziness; fatigue; rapid pulse; muscle cramps; nausea; and headaches. If you or a friend is experiencing these symptoms, try to cool down as quickly as possible.
