A Good Design award from the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Program is the most prestigious design award in the world. Each year, creators from all different fields including industrial, graphic, and product design submit their designs, and members of the Athenaeum pick the most innovative, cutting-edge submissions from each area.

This is the second year in a row the Hyundai Ioniq has won a Good Design Award. The Ioniq is the first eco-vehicle in the world to offer Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid, and Electric versions, which results in a fantastic driving experience in addition to the award-winning design. The Ioniq is feature-complete and offers a slew of safety features on top of its versatile propulsion options.

The Vision G concept debuted in 2015 in Los Angeles as a luxury coupe focused on driver comfort that will kick off Hyundai’s Genesis sub-brand. The Vision G’s sporty styling promises performance, and its value and smart features make it a practical choice as well as an indulgent one.

The Athenaeum Museum President Christian Narkiewicz-Laine said that Hyundai’s multiple wins over two years show “its firm commitment to innovation and superior design embodiment through its diverse vehicle lineup.”

New Hyundai Sonata Named Among the Best Family Cars of 2015

Best Family Cars of 2015

The new 2015 Hyundai Sonata just keeps racking up the accolades. It won MotorWeek’s Midsize Sedan Challenge, was named Best Midsize Car of the Money by U.S. News & World Report, and recently earned a 2014 GOOD DESIGN Award. Now, it’s also just been called one of the Best Family Cars of 2015, according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.

The publication looked at 23 of the “latest and greatest” vehicles from various manufacturers to determine those best suited to the family lifestyle, based on several categories—including comfort and driving, safety, child seats, cargo space, rear-seat entertainment, and more.

A great deal of the seventh-generation Sonata’s advantage over its competitors comes from Hyundai’s new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, which not only helps to make the car look more elegant than ever but also improves ride quality, by stiffening body structure and reducing noise, vibration, and harshness. You can test the ride for yourself at SouthTowne Hyundai!

And it’s going to keep getting more perks. Later this year, the Sonata will be equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to simultaneously increase safety and convenience.
