The major form of heat exhaustion that most people tend to think about is related to water depletion, but you can also get heat exhaustion from salt depletion. This is why it is important to keep a sports drink on hand.

 

Some of the heat exhaustion symptoms include: cool, damp skin; excess sweating; dizziness; fatigue; rapid pulse; muscle cramps; nausea; and headaches. If you or a friend is experiencing these symptoms, try to cool down as quickly as possible.

 

Drink water and remember to keep your salt levels in check. If you have only been drinking water all day – you may be in serious need of electrolytes.
