Hyundai changed the game when they released the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell Vehicle, and now, they are working on their second fuel-cell-powered model. We don’t know much about it yet, but we do know that it will debut at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
According to Hyundai Eco-vehicle Development Director Ahn Byung-ki, the new fuel cells will be smaller and made of less platinum, and they will be paired up with an electric motor – which will also be smaller.
As for the model that it will go into, it appears that Hyundai is coming up with something totally new. Rumor has it that the new Hyundai hydrogen fuel cell model will be some sort of crossover SUV.
Hyundai’s mission is to create a vehicle that can drive for 400 miles without needing to stop for gas. We hope this is the car they are talking about!
